Halloween Event
This year for halloween event we decided to keep it simple, easy but innovative.
- Burning Halloween Castle maps are back ANI, BCU as well as a neutral map
- We love memes and we embrace them, check out the Halloween boss in ANI and BCU map
- Introducing a completely new and made from scratch map only in ChromeRivals: "Cosmic Maze". The Maze was specially designed to isolate fights and introduce chaos in fights. Try and see if you can solve the puzzle that is the maze map!
- Added 1 Halloween quest, the idea behind this is to give players opportunities to do daily quests as well through out the entire run of the Halloween Event
- We brought back the utility items from Easter event to Halloween Event to complete the cycle. So as a reward for finishing the Halloween quest, players can finally obtain "Foreign Part plan 3". Combining the "part 1 and 2" (from easter even season 1 and 2) and "part 3" players can create a new item that not only forshadows CR 2.0 but will also be very important to said patch.
- IMPORTANT: To finish the Halloween quest AND to access the "Cosmic Maze" map you need to finish the "Cosmic Maze" quest first. We recommend players to try and finish the Cosmic Maze quest before doing any other quests, it can be found in the "PVP - weekly quest" tab.
- Halloween ANI and BCU maps have a non-dispute time that runs through out the day three times. Each non-dispute time is about 90mins.
- Halloween boss have a respawn time of 6h
- Keep an eye on the new Halloween items ( :eye: :leg: :billed_cap: ) and collect as many of them as you can before they are removed!
We also decided to reward general PVP more than PVE this event.
Balance changes
Boy oh boy was this patch due...
Going forward we decided to create a meta shift and give PVP the attention that it deserves. Here are some of the changes that we hope will help accomplish that goal. Reminder that ALL of these changes are subject to a change if necessary.
Firstly we are trying to change MGs role in this current meta. We believe these changes give MGs options to either fight and be killable or stay strong and agile while supporting their formation members:
- Remove 2% defense from MG defense up skill
- MG lvl 96 engine now has a -10% accuracy and -7.5% pierce (Its a "need to survive" engine, not a pvp engine)
- MG lvl 27, 34 and 35 engine now has +14% adv/std pierce, +6% adv accuracy as well as -3% adv/std defense
- MG formation heals are reduced: Form energy heal from 780 -> 390
Form shield heal from 650 -> 325 - While MG SELF heals are buffed: Self energy heal from 1200 -> 1590
Self shield heal from 910 -> 1235
While IGs have been given quite a few option builds with the previous patches, we noticed the meta favoring only the "hybrid IGs". These IG changes are made in order to give IGs more freedom and to reward those that are bold and dont mind dying as long as they deal the damage:
- Removed -10% accuracy from IG frenzy as well as -3% pierce (*)
- Reduced IG evasion by -5%
- Introducing the new IG V-Attack engine (that made a previous appearance in a marathon event). The engine gives users +10% accuracy as well as +5% pierce (*). It is a full attack engine that requires the users to have at the very least 320 stat points on attack.
- Players can get the new engine (enchantable to e5) through various means. Listing the means to get them in order of higher -> lower chance: Weekly/Halloween, Daily PVP quests, Halloween Boss drop, normal event map mobs.
Bgs also got the meta shifting hammer this patch:
- Removed -5% pierce from GBM and instead added 15% min/max to the skill
- Reduce Damage has been a controversial skill for the longest time now as it makes the BG either too strong or not strong enough: RD effecttiveness reduced from 25% to 15% and the CD time now matches the skill effective run time
Ags aren't getting any hammers this round. And no we are not going to delete ags from the game (yet) so quit messaging me (Void) to get them removed
Miscellaneous
- Tier 1 2 and 3 PVP quests are way more rewarding
- Fixed PVP quests not completing
